Welcome to Our Church
If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ or seek to know more about the Christian faith, we rejoice that you have visited our website. We welcome you and pray you will consider our proclamation and celebration of Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. If you are looking for a church home, we commend our parish to you. We wish to serve you in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord.
The Church of Our Saviour was started in 1960 as a mission parish for the communities of Shaler and Hampton. We are an Evangelical and liturgical parish - one that stresses the preaching and teaching of scripture, the necessity of personal decision, repentance, and faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, the celebration of the Eucharist, and the continuing presence of the Holy Spirit. We are part of the Anglican Communion - a worldwide fellowship of churches that trace their history to the Apostolic Christian Faith as once delivered to the Saints of the early Church.
Each Sunday from September through the end of May, we have adult education at 9:15 a.m. between the two services.
The men's group continues to meet for Bible study and fellowship the first and third Saturdays of the month.
The Adult Education, Men's Bible Study and Women's Bible Study groups recently focued on “40 Days of Purpose.” This was a six-week sermon series on the book, The Purpose Driven Life. Everyone was encouraged to read along and join in discussion..
Call the church office (412-486-5171) for more details. Come join us as we reach out to a confused world with the clarity of Jesus Christ.
87 Fundamenta ejus
On the holy mountain stands the city he has founded; the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
2 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of our God.
3 I count Egypt and Babylon among those who know me; behold Philistia , Tyre , and Ethiopia : in Zion were they born.
4 Of Zion it shall be said, “Everyone was born in her, and the Most High himself shall sustain her.”
5 The Lord will record as he enrolls the peoples, “These also were born there.”
6 The singers and the dancers will say, “All my fresh springs are in you.”
Thank you for visiting us. We hope you will come to our site often. May God bless you with His peace and the knowledge of His love.
