Welcome to Our Church

The Church of Our Saviour is a group of everyday people who believe the gospel is “good news.” We welcome people who already believe in Christ and those who want to know more about the Christian faith, to come learn and experience what it means to be at peace with God and truly loved by Him, despite our struggles and shortcomings.

In particular, we uphold the faith and creeds of the historic Christian Church, we look to the bible as containing all things necessary for salvation, and we uphold the theology of the Reformation that declares that our righteousness (right standing before God) is a complete gift of grace and comes through faith in Christ alone, and is not dependent on our own works or man-made rules and requirements.

The Church of Our Saviour was started in 1960 to serve the communities of Shaler, Etna, and Hampton. We are part of the Anglican Communion, the third largest worldwide Christian body, serving North America, Africa, Asia, South America, and other parts of the world. We trace our history to the apostles and the faith of the early Church as it has been passed on from generation to generation.

Each Sunday from September through the end of May, we have adult education at 9:15 a.m. between the two services at 8 & 10:30 am.

“We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Eph 2:8-9)

“But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:21-24)
