Missions/Outreach Committee
The Missions and Outreach committee of the Church of Our Saviour makes recommendations to the vestry on the distribution of our missions tithe, arranges for missions-related speakers, and coordinates outreach activities for the church. We are currently supporting Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in Ambrige, PA; Bishop Wilson Turumanya of the Diocese of Bunyoro-Kitara in Uganda, a missionary couple with Frontiers that is ministering in Tunisia, Margarita Grachen serving with the South American Mission Society in Honduras, Shepherd's Heart ministry to the homeless and needy, Anglican Frontier Fellowship, and a local crisis pregnancy ministry.
North Hills Community Outreach
The Church of Our Saviour supports the North Hills Community Outreach financially and through regular food bank collections as well as special collections throughout the year including back to school supplies and Giant Eagle gift certificates at Thanksgiving. We are blessed to be able to help out our neighbors through this worthy ministry.
Shepherd's Heart
The Church of Our Saviour supports the ministry of Shepherd's Heart parish in Oakland both financially and through our Wooly Tree collection during Advent to provide hats, gloves, sweaters, scarves, etc. to the needy in the Oakland community.
Special Interest/Needs
Seniors
Full Harvest Outreach is a ministry to seniors with the parish and in the community. Past events have included hosting a Senior Fair at the church and participation in the No More Stables project of the North Hills Community Outreach.
